Dance the Night Away
Help us kick off Fall Harvest with an old-time dance event for the ages! We're partnering with the fine folks from Hillfolk Noir to bring square-dancing back to the Treasure Valley...at least for one night. Expect some good eats, cold beverages, dancing and amazing music! Not into dancing? Just grab a drink, pull up a straw bale, and watch others cut a rug to the best Junkerdash band in Idaho (with several special guest musicians and callers!) See ya there!
Hillfolk Noir
Built on more than 15 years of “junkerdash” tradition, Hillfolk takes their acoustic guitar, double bass, and “anything you can find at a hardware store” sound and integrates driving drums and an electrified sound. From mountains of frontman Travis Ward’s ragged, spiral-bound notebooks this Boise, Idaho-based band tells earnest stories about the lives of lovers, law-breakers, and the lion-hearted. “If John Steinbeck owned a speakeasy,” said John Doe (X, the Knitters), “Hillfolk Noir would be the house band.”
