Discover the Healing Power of Plants

At Idaho Botanical Garden, we believe that gardens are more than beautiful spaces. They are living classrooms, sanctuaries for reflection, and powerful tools for healing. Horticulture therapy uses gardening and plant-based activities to support health and well-being. Through hands-on experiences and sensory engagement, participants connect with nature in ways that nurture mind, body, and spirit.

Horticulture therapy is grounded in evidence and history. Ancient cultures turned to gardens for restoration, and today, research confirms what many have always known: spending time with plants reduces stress, lifts mood, improves physical and cognitive function, and strengthens social bonds.

Upcoming Classes

  • Reserve your spot now for the November 1 Mindfulness and Tea Blending class for healthcare workers. Sessions are just $3 per person, with four times available.

  • Partner with us to bring therapeutic gardening experiences to your community.

The Garden has something for everyone. Whether you are seeking calm, community, or a new way to grow, horticulture therapy offers a path toward renewal.
