Step into the Shadows: Idaho Botanical Garden Reimagines the Fundraising Soiree with ‘Beastly Botanicals’

Boise, ID – June 2, 2025 On the evening of Thursday, September 11, 2025, the Idaho Botanical Garden will unveil an unique vision for what a fundraising event can be. With the return of its annual Farm to Table(aux) soiree, the Garden invites guests into "Beastly Botanicals"—an immersive, theatrical experience where the natural and surreal entwine.

Unlike traditional benefit dinners, Farm to Table(aux) has built a reputation as a bold fusion of art, performance, and philanthropy. This year’s theme, "Beastly Botanicals," promises an enchanted exploration into the darker, wilder side of nature. Attendees will be surrounded by towering flora, carnivorous plants, jewel-toned beetles, and mysterious creatures, all brought to life through a meticulously curated production that spans visual installations, live performances, and culinary storytelling.

“This isn’t just another gala—it’s a portal into a world of living art, storytelling, and shared purpose,” said Erin Anderson, Executive Director of the Idaho Botanical Garden. “It’s an evening where imagination leads, community gathers, and every guest helps shape the future of the Garden.”

A Night Where Art, Nature, and Performance Collide

Set across the Garden Plaza and Meditation Garden, the evening begins with an elegant open-air soirée: guests sip signature cocktails, bid on exclusive art, and explore stunning tableaux set against the twilight sky. Live performers—ranging from contortionists and stilt-walkers to immersive actors—guide attendees through a dreamlike landscape that’s equal parts botanical and fantastical.

As night falls, the experience deepens with a chef-curated dinner under the stars and a high-energy live auction, all supporting the Garden’s core mission: education, conservation, and community engagement. The Garden’s growth, programming, and preservation efforts rely heavily on the success of this single-night fundraiser.

A Unique Cultural Moment for Boise

As Treasure Valley’s most anticipated soiree, Farm to Table(aux) has earned a reputation not only for its creativity but for galvanizing community support in ways that few events achieve. It attracts local artists, culinary talent, donors, and attendees who crave experiences that defy convention—and deliver meaningful impact.

Last year’s event sold out in advance. With only 304 seats available, the Garden expects the same response this year. Tickets, ranging from $200 for general admission to $250 VIP, are available now. Tables for eight may be reserved for $2,000.

More Than an Event—A Movement

For the Garden, Farm to Table(aux) is more than a spectacle—it’s a strategic investment in the future. Proceeds help sustain its educational programs, expand its conservation work, and keep the Garden a vibrant cultural hub in the heart of Boise.

“Our hope is that attendees leave not only inspired, but with a deeper sense of stewardship for the natural world,” Anderson added. “This event makes that possible—through generosity, through imagination, and through shared purpose.”
