Getting here

Bike, walk, skate, or carpool. We love our planet and we love it when our guests use alternative forms of transportation. The Boise Green Belt makes for an excellent pre-event experience. But if driving is a must, here are some directions!

2355 Old Penitentiary Road Boise, Idaho 83712

Fall Plant Sale

Hannah, our Greenhouse & Nursery Coordinator, has put together a bonus fall plant sale! Come browse and purchase* a variety of perennials that thrive in the Intermountain West and take advantage of the fall planting season. October is the time to plant in Boise. These plants are already a year or older, so they will flourish in your garden!

General admission gets you into the Garden that day for both plant sale and Fall Harvest Days. Two for one!

*Cards only for all plant sale purchases. No cash, sorry.

Saturday, October 1
10a – 3p

Music

Each Saturday, the Garden will host a new band to fill the plaza with some incredible music. Grab a drink and some grub from a local food truck, and enjoy the tunes in a beautiful fall setting.

10/1: Down-to-the-Wire Choir

10/8: High Pine Whiskey Yell

10/15: Charlie and the Changelings

10/22: Neocentrics

10/29: Noah Childs

Not only will we host a new band each week, we will have a stellar lineup of local food, snack, beer, cider, and wine vendors ready to fill your bellies! You can look forward to a new assortment of delicious fall provisions to complement the autumn air every week!

Food and Drinks

Could we really call it Harvest Days without inviting local artisans to showcase and sell their creations in the Garden? Support local artists and creators and walk away with something to commemorate your Fall Harvest Fun! Full list of artisans coming soon!

Scarecrow Stroll

October 1 - October 31

A tradition at the Garden for over a decade, the Scarecrow stroll features our community’s artistic talent with decorative Scarecrows throughout the Garden the whole month of October.

With a map as your guide, see the Garden in one of its most beautiful seasons and enjoy the creativity of our awesome community. Be sure to cast your vote for the best scarecrow! The winner will be announced at the end of the event and will earn the coveted “Ray Bolger Memorial Award for Scarecrow Excellence” and will receive, of course, bragging rights!

Wicked Witches, Cuddly Pumpkins, and The Walking Dead are invited to dress up and participate in the Fall Harvest Costume Contest on October 29th. Dust on the cobwebs and test your costume before the big night. Who knows, you might even be inspired to add a little more sparkles, fake blood, or even MORE hairspray.

Parade is all booked up, but feel free to still dress up!
