Bookkeeping Assistant

Salary

$18 - $23/hr 

The Bookkeeping Assistant is responsible for QuickBooks online financial support, including reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card reconciliations, and other data entry as needed

Responsibilities

  • ​Daily bookkeeping data entry in QuickBooks, including accounts payable.

  • Enter ACH and credit card transactions, uncleared transactions, and other occasional accounting needs.

  • Complete month-end reconciliations and accruals.

  • Support site rental program by invoicing and reporting site rental activity.

  • Assist with inventory tracking as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.
     

Skills, Specifications, & Experience​

  • Skilled in QuickBooks Online and Excel.

  • Familiarity with the management of restricted funds.

  • Experience with Ramp or Bill.com.

  • Skilled in bookkeeping and accounting.

  • Inventory tracking experience.

  • Practice safe work practices, including anticipating safety needs and applying risk management and reduction procedures.

  • Experience implementing oral and written instructions, explaining and applying policies and procedures.

  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff and volunteers.

  • Ability to prioritize order of task completion in a dynamic environment.
     

Requirements

  • Education and/or experience with QuickBooks online general bookkeeping and accounting, including year-end reporting requirements.
