Starting seeds at home will allow you to add vegetables and flowers to your garden that not available as plants. In addition, it is less costly to start your own plants rather than buying established ones. Learn what is needed to successfully sow seeds and raise new plants indoors for later transplanting. She will discuss the different methods of starting seeds depending upon seed type - such as cold treatment, scarification, and planting depth – and other cultural information including proper planting medium, light, water, and fertilizing requirements.
